Mr. Cassars legal assistant that answered the telephone was extremely courteous and answered all my questions while sounding just as concerned as I felt. She then transferred me to Mr. Cassar who took a great amount of time to talk about my case; even knowing I could not hire him. Comment: My family is going through a really tough time right now with a case and Ray was VERY professional and very understanding. I spoke with another lawyer before him who wouldn’t give me the time of day. Told me “well you don’t have that kinda money so I can’t help you”. Rays office was the exact opposite. The front desk woman (I think her name was Rita) being extremely kind, compassionate and understanding. She transferred me to Ray and he was wonderful beyond belief. He stayed on the phone with me for a half hour and talked to me about the case and how everything works. Not once did he push me one way or the other, he was honest and very understanding. Comment: When I was arrested, I had no idea what to do. I was pretty unsettled and figured that I should get the best attorney possible. I was recommended to Mr. Cassar via another attorney. In our first meeting, Mr. Cassar did an excellent job at setting expectations. I admire his tenacity when it came to poking at my recollection of what had happened leading up to my arrest, because it allowed me to more accurately recall the events prior. He is extremely detail oriented and ensured that I had no worries about the case. He explained that my life was ever so slightly off balance and all he had to do was put it back into alignment. All I had to worry about was my day to day. Mr. Cassar did not make promises he couldn’t keep, nor did he fill my head with the possibilities of the case. He kept my involvement extremely simple, and I genuinely appreciate that. He promised me no jail time and that was it. On sentencing day Mr. Cassar was right. No jail time. In addition to that, we managed to work out a deal in which I had no probation. Now this type of ruling is extremely rare and a result of a judge’s discretion, however, I would say Mr. Cassar involvement represented me in a light that would allow the judge the freedom to make such a ruling. I am extremely pleased that I hired Mr. Cassar and would highly recommend him.

I hired Ray in June to fight a Probation Violation that i had received while being on felony probation in Oakland County and already plead guilty to. I simply wanted him to advocate to the judge that since i received the violation i had turned my life around. i was a drug addicted with a lengthy criminal history. My sentencing was Aug 18 and in between June and August he did so much more then advocate to the judge. He encouraged me to take a college course along with countless emails and phone calls of him helping me stay focused and positive even when i had given up on he had reinstalled my hope and faith. Ray went above and beyond what i paid him for and i cant thank him enough. He always said said focused and clean and he would do the rest... Well i kept my word and he kept his. I never expected though to have to face criminal and legal ones. Alas, that is where I found myself and my 19 year-old Aspergers son, to compound the issue he was facing these charges 16 hours away in Michigan as we live in North Carolina. He had gotten involved with a group online and made a 911 call (because some girl had hurt his online friend who he doesn’t even know his real name) and reported he had done some heinous acts which required an all-out response from first responders to the girl’s house (known as swatting), an action which he was facing a four-year felony sentence. I immediately went online looking for special needs lawyers in Michigan, and was fortunate to find the Law Offices of Raymond Cassar. Upon reaching out to the practice, my son and I were assigned Alexandra Giuliani. Let me say you will not find a more intelligent, compassionate, and flexible attorney - from the outset it was like we were with family. Alex was caring, expeditious, and more importantly effective. Not only her, but also Ray who took the time to sit in on our case, and the support cast at the office was always on top of things and greeted you with a smile and a word or two of encouragement. Alex was not only able to get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor, but also worked out first-time offender status for him, so that after a probation period this unfortunate, bad-judgement of my son’s doing will not haunt him for the rest of his life. I was told initially that I shouldnt have anything to worry about. This misdemeanor charge though kept me from peace as it blindsided me so. Comment: Samuel Bennett, at The Law Offices of Raymond A. Cassar, is by far the best lawyer I have ever met. He is genuine and compassionate. He is truly a rare find in the profession. I highly recommend him.I was on probation in Oakland County (the strictest county in Michigan) for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and within a few months I was arrested for Disorderly Intoxication. I had violated my probation previous to that arrest by lying to the judge about driving when I was not supposed to and I spent 5 days in the Oakland County Jail (Sam was NOT my lawyer at the time) because of some bad advice from a different lawyer. I was seriously looking at 90 days in jail for the probation violation and 30 days would have been a gift. Sam began giving me good advice on the phone before I had even hired him. He approached my case in a caring and compassionate way and he was much more helpful than every other lawyer I had talked to. He sincerely cared about helping me turn my life around and helping me with my sobriety from the beginning. At my probation violation hearing, because of how well Sam had prepared me and because of how well Sam represented my case, I did not get ANY jail time. I was ordered to continue with the group therapy program Sam had advised me to go into and to continue going to AA. That was it! No extension on my probation! Nothing else! I could not believe it! The result of the hearing has helped me to maintain my sobriety and helped me to begin to turn my life around for the better.
