Comment: We own St. Ambrose Cellars and Sleeping Bear Farms and have been in business for over 40 years. Occasionally someone would ask me who represented us and I would laugh and say that we never had an issue that required expert representation.When our township board changed membership after the 2016 elections, and had a new board with some hostile members that tried to stifle us with a ban on events which is the life blood of any winery. Furthermore they instituted a repressive sound ordinance targeted toward our company to ticket us after 8 pm in the summer months. Then they arrogantly ignored my FOIA requests or were not forthright in submitting the information.These issues were very complex. The first attorney we hired was a waste of time.As our travails increased, we turned to Jesse Williams, Frederick Stig-Nelson, Betsy Mas, Jenn Ryan, and last but not least, Eric Van Dussen, who who does some deep research into legal matters.Over a few years of hard work, our team prevailed on multiple fronts. They were impressively strong and educated on the issues and came to court well prepared. I sometimes think of them as the David who overcame the Goliath of a downstate firm that is renowned for municipal law in Michigan.I highly recommend this team.

Comment: I could not have been happier with Jesses defense of our son; I only wished I would have called sooner. Jesse immediately calmed our fears, put up with my tears, and got to work getting our son into a position to get on with his life.Jesses communications were short and sweet valuing my time and his. He asked what outcome we wanted and worked toward that goal. He spoke to our son at his level - he didnt mince words.He is a no-nonsense sort of guy; definitely of the people. I highly recommend him.

Comment: There is no other lawyer I’d ever choose. I’ve used Jesse for 4 cases now and every time he has worked magic. He hasn’t just done an unbelievable job, he truly cares.A lot of people hesitate to hire the best because they cost more. My position is either way you’re going to pay. To me, time is more important than money. Comment: A friend of mine recommended Mr. Williams to me after I was arrested on a misdemeanor charge in Kalkaska county. Jesse was prompt in returning my phone call and answered all my questions which helped to set my mind at ease. After only two phone calls by Jesse and his office to the prosecuting attorney, my charge was dropped. Jesses reputation and name were enough to stop the prosecuting attorney from pursuing the charge. I would highly recommend Jesse to any of my family and friends that need a good criminal lawyer!

Comment: Jesse is an outstanding criminal defense lawyer. I was being overcharged with a 20 year felony and he worked diligently with the prosecutor to work out a simple misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace with a delay charge included. If your in a pickle with the law, do not hesitate to call Jesse
